 The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a program that provides students with the opportunity to participate in community service activities and programs. Some of the facilities and activities that NSS volunteers can take part in include: 
 
 Community service:
 NSS volunteers can provide services like sanitation, water, electricity, drainage, health and welfare services, and community investigations. 
Disaster relief: 
NSS volunteers can provide food, clothing, and first aid to disaster victims. 
Environment protection: 
NSS volunteers can learn about topics like soil and water conservation, use of natural energy, and conventional energy resources. 
Health awareness: 
NSS volunteers can participate in health awareness camps and blood donation camps. 
Tree planting: 
NSS volunteers can participate in tree planting activities. 
Self employment: 
NSS volunteers can participate in self employment programs. 
Orphanage visits: 
NSS volunteers can visit and donate goods to orphanages and mental ill homes. 
Celebration of national days: 
NSS volunteers can celebrate national days like Independence Day, Republic Day, and World Earth Day.
